Identifiers
Product and serial context, partner references and site identifiers.
Connect Dynamics 365 company and warehouse context with product traceability.
SAME DATA. FURTHER GOOD.A pharmaceutical business may use Dynamics across several legal entities or facilities. A medicine’s record needs the correct organization and operational location as well as its product identity. The integration resolves those relationships before information is exchanged with a partner.
Illustrative pharmaceutical integration flow. The selected interfaces and responsibilities are defined for your environment.
The organization behind the transaction.
The warehouse or receiving location.
The unit and available event information.
The data expected by the next organization.
ILLUSTRATIVE WORKFLOW · THE IMPLEMENTATION FOLLOWS YOUR OPERATING REQUIREMENTS
Use a receiving flow at one warehouse and compare it with a second site. Establish which company owns the transaction, which location code appears in the event and where the product data originates. Test those boundaries explicitly before extending the workflow.

| Information | Example of its purpose | Owner to identify |
|---|---|---|
| Product and unit identifiers | Locate the serialized medicine. | Product and serialization source. |
| Business reference | Relate the unit to the relevant operation. | ERP, warehouse or service system. |
| Event and location | Explain the activity represented in the record. | Operational source and location-data owner. |
| Partner payload | Make the information interpretable by the recipient. | Sending and receiving integration teams. |
Identify the system of record for the product, lot, serialized unit and location. Define which business reference ties the ERP or service record to the traceability task. The interface should preserve those relationships and make an unknown reference a specific issue to resolve.
Product and serial context, partner references and site identifiers.
The receiving, shipping or other activity represented in the data.
The source of each record and the team responsible for corrections.
Microsoft documents synchronous and batch integration patterns for finance and operations apps. Choose the actual application first: Finance, Supply Chain Management and Business Central are not interchangeable interfaces. The connection design follows your application, data entities, timing and permissions. The Connect RX implementation also agrees the event payload, partner specification and expected business response. Use a normal movement and an exception to validate the complete handoff.
Your systems. Your partners. The task you need to complete.
